Title: A model for polycrystalline Ni-Ti shape-memory alloys including plasticity

Abstract: In the talk I will discuss modelling approaches to shape-memory alloys on the macroscopic level. Even though the modelling happens at the macroscopic level, I will highlight how important it is to understand the microscopic behavior and how this can be translated into modelling even without performing a rigorous limit passage. Then, I will also discuss plasticity and its relationship to the martensitic transformation. To do so, I will propose a modelling scheme for situations when one process is a prerequisite for another. This is a joint work with Miroslav Frost, Martin Kružík, Petr Sedlák and Hanuš Seiner.
